Personal/family plan
The personal/family plans provides:
- Preventive Legal Services including telephone conversations for personal or business questions, letter/phone call plus 2 business letters or calls per year, legal document review (up to 10 pages) plus 1 business document per year, will preparation and annual updates, and trust preparation at 25% discount.
- Motor Vehicle Legal Services including assistance with moving traffic violation, assistance with certain motor vehicle related criminal charges, and up to 2.5 hours of help with driver’s license assistance or personal injury/property damage collection of $2000 or less.
· Trial Defense Services including assistance in the defense of civil suits and job-related criminal charges and up to 75 hours of assistance the first membership year, which includes 57.5 hours of trial time and 17.5 hours of pretrial time and increasing over the next five years of coverage.
- IRS Audit Services, which provide scheduled benefits up to 50 hours of professional services from Provider Law Firm, including 3.5 hours of pretrial time. Coverage including the return dues on April 15th of the first year of membership
- Preferred Member Discount which provides any other legal services not otherwise covered by the membership are available at a 25% discount from The Provider Law Firm’s standard or corporate hourly discount
Business Plans
There are three business related legal plans available depending on the size of your business:
1) The Legal Plan for the Self Employed provides the personal/family plan described above for the business owner plus preventive legal services for you business:
- Talk to a lawyer when you need assistance on business legal issues. You’ll receive telephone consultations on an unlimited number of matters for business questions.
- A maximum of three letters written on behalf of your business to third parties each month.
- Up to three business contracts or documents of up to 15 pages each reviewed by your Provider Law Firm
- Any other legal services not otherwise covered by the membership are available at a 25% discount from the Provider Law Firm’s corporate hourly rate.
2) The Home Based Business Plan provides the personal/family plan described above for the business owner plus preventive legal services for you business:
- Unlimited toll-free telephone consultation with your Provider Law Firm for issues regarding your home-based business.
- Letters written on your behalf by your Provider Law Firm to a third party when the need arises. You can have up to three letters written each month on your behalf (no more than one per subject matter. You can receive additional letters at a 25% discount off your Provider Law Firm standard hourly rate.
- Up to three business contracts or documents of up to 15 pages each reviewed by your Provider Law Firm
- Up to three initial debt collection letters per month written on you behalf to a third party.
- Any other legal services not otherwise covered by the membership are available at a 25% discount from the Provider Law Firm’s corporate hourly rate.
3) The Small Business Plan is available to for-profit businesses with fewer than 100 employees. Companies with publicly-traded stock are excluded. The plan provides:
- Legal consultation - unlimited toll-free telephone consultation with your Provider Law Firm when you have a question about such legal aspects of you business such as: employee hiring, equipment leases, joint ventures, bankruptcy, city zoning, verbal contracts, incorporation, small claims, partnership, hiring/termination, landlord/tenant issues, vendor problems, intellectual property, worker’s compensation, bad check recovery, customer complaints, creditor harassment, and disclaimer verbiage.
- Legal correspondence – one letter per legal subject matter each year, with a copy for your file. Follow-up letters are provided at a 25% discount.
- Debt collection – up to ten separate initial collection letters written per month.
- Contract Review – up to 3 contracts, up to 15 pages each, reviewed by your Provider Law Firm.
- Executed contract review – one signed contract per month, up to 10 pages in length, reviewed by your Provider Law Firm.
- Document review - review of three business documents, up to 5 pages each, and give prompt advice.
- Designated consultations - For certain legal situations, your business is entitled to receive two telephone consultations per year arranged by your Provider Law Firm, each consisting of up to one-half hour. Legal matters addressed under this benefit are: securities, commodities, patents, trademarks, copyrights, admiralty, anti-trust, international law, complex tax issues, immigration, import/export customs issues, and issues arising outside your state, within the U.S.
- Trial defense services – Up to 75 hours of your Provider Law Firm’s time if your business is named defendant or respondent in a covered civil action filed in court which is related to business activities. Up to 15 hours are available for pre-trial work and the remaining 60 hours are available upon actual commencement of trial.
- Reduced fee services – litigation representation and other legal work within your business state at a 25% discount from you Provider Law Firm’s corporate hourly rate.
Members are served by a Provider Law Firm, which has been carefully screened and selected by Pre-Paid Legal. To use the plan, members simply call their Provider Law Firm directly at the toll-free number on their membership card when they have a legal question or problem. It's really that simple.
